SA Front Mounted Ball Hitch

Has anyone figured out a good way to mount a ball hitch on the front of a SA? I would like to be able to push my boat into a tight slot and have better visibility than I do when turning around to guide it in while backing it.

If you have such a mount, would you mind emailing me a picture of it, or better yet, posting it for all to see?

Thanks for the help.

There is a gentleman that makes one for the Cub. I think the same idea could be adapted to a Super A. Here is a picture:

You should pay close attention to the warning on the Kubkraft site:
Caution!

Use common sense when using any of these hitches. Do not attempt to move overly heavy equipment. If you are in doubt, don't move it. Serious injury to you or damage to your Cub could occur.

Remember, the Cub wasn’t built for the hitch, the hitch was built for the Cub.
The same applies to the Super A. I wouldn't do any pushing or pulling with the front of the tractor unless the hitch was connected to the drawbar or at least to the bell housing. Just use the implement mounting socket to provide vertical and lateral support.

Doug: I do it a lot with my snow blade push frame. All I need do is pull two pins at blade angle point and blade comes off. In fact that is all I ever take off my 130 in the summer.

I wouldn't try to move a trailer weighing more than 2,000 Lbs. and tongue weight of 300-400 lbs. Great for moving light trailers. You probably go less with a Cub.

If you don't have a snow blade, build a drop frame from the front axle cultivator mount. Then run a long bar similar idea to a swinging drawbar, from out front of tractor to the drawbar, using the drop frame to suspend it. Having said that, I WARN YOU, WATCH THE WEIGHT.
