Farmall Copyright tradmark question

I have a question about making Farmall signs and plaques. My dad rebuilds Farmall Tractors and there is an antique Tractor show coming up and he wants us to go and make signs. But I don't know if I can use the name Farmall on items. Or can someone lead me to where I can go to find this out.

Thanks

Depends on the items and what you do with them. You cannot, without risk of losing a trademark infringement suit, use the FARMALL mark in any way that could mislead the public into believing falsely that they are buying something made by Farmall. You can put up a sign saying "We repair Farmall tractors". You could advertise that you have Farmall tractors for sale. You might even be able to offer Farmall hotdogs (assuming that Farmall has never sold Farmall brand hotdogs: not a safe assumption). In all cases it might be prudent to note that you are not a Farmall dealer. Note that this is a question of trademark law, not copyright. The two are unrelated.

What if I take a picture of a Farmall emblem and use it on a plaque with some farmall tractors with it. Is that trademark infringement?

Not unless you use it to falsely imply that you are selling Farmall products. If your plaque is some sort of a work of art you are safe from trademark infringement claims.

What would your signs say? If you are copying the Farmall logo you
could get in trouble. However, if your signs say things like "A
Farmall Collector Lives Here" or "Farmall Parking Only" (in block
letters like a road sign) you would be fine.
