Variation on the H oil--question

I got the H shifter fixed thanks you guys. But my old owners manual does not address the belt pulley pto case. I drained the old oil from the trany case and got more than the specified 6 gal. out. Did that drain the belt pulley case too?...and do I need to add extra oil thru the smaller filler plug in the top of the pulley case? I figure maybe the belt pulley pto gear picks up oil from the trany case? Thanks once more!

the belt pulley gearbox has it's own drain plug. if you drain it the new oil will sling up into the gearbox from the transmission.

I believe the drain plug Randy is referring to is the front transmission drain plug. It isn't on the belt pulley housing itself. When changing the oil, the manual recommends adding some fresh oil to the pulley gearbox. Put the first quart in the belt pulley housing, then pour the rest of the 6 gallons in the large hole in the top of the transmission cover near the shift lever. The level check plug is on the left side of the transmission case (viewed while sitting in the seat) ahead of the clutch pedal pivot shaft.
