1468 maybe

ok guys talk me out of it thinking its time for another purchase and for some reason i have a 1468 stuck in my head.. any bad or good stories on them will help in my dic. thanks..

They are cool sounding
They are neat to look at
They are in your face V8 big
They are less fuel efficient than an 1486
They are far more money to fix
They Cool sounding (oh yeah I said that)
No worse than the way it was maintained.

The four to eight cyl system seems to have a lot of problems.
I watched two sell at NITE's sale in Pecatonica, IL for around 20,000. One was just less and didn't run, but was free. Sold for around 18. The other ran and drove and was around 24. Both were certainly not considered "cherry."
They are bad azz.
They are made for people who own gold demos. Small ___ and deep pockets.

Makes a real crowd pleaser in parades, I have a lot of fun with mine.

Good tractors, I have had a 1468, and now have a 1568. They get a lot of attention at shows and parades. basically same tractor as 1466, except frame rails, fan shroud, and motor. Just hard to find parts if you ever need them, I got lucky a while back and found a extra front half of a 1468, from the flywheel forward. If you can find one reasonably priced I"d recommend buying it.

They are sweetest, coolist, badest (as the others said), factory made example of racecar meets farm machinery ever produced! Just flat out neat. Get one. (I'm jealous)
