Mower Models

I have two mowers for my tractors but I don't know the models. I can't find a serial number on either. I have one on my Farmall C. It had been on my neighbor's Farmall Super C. He bought it at the same time he got his new tractor. The other mower is on my Super H. It was bought new with the tractor. It has one wheel on the back and is pitmanless.

As far as the C/SuperC, if it's a pitman type, and on a frame mounted to the axle housings and no tail wheel, it would be either a 21 or a 24.

Word is that the 24 is heavier duty. Not sure what all that involves, but the 24, I believe, has two lifting springs, while the 21 has one. There may be other differences, but that's one that ought to help identify which you have.

The pitmanless mower on the SH is likely a #120 balanced head model. They are pretty nice mowers. There are a couple lubrication issues with these if you are going to use it, so hit e-bay for a manual. Basically, the balanced head do NOT over lube and the zerk on the mower end of the knife gets a hit about every 1-2 hours. I do mine every time I stop for a break. There is also a more modern version of the semi-mount mower but I would be guessing at the number.
