Super A Running Hot?

How often should I expect to have to add water to the radiator? If I use it to plow or disc for an hour or so then I usually need to add about a qt of water. (I know if I fill the rad to the top some water will be forced out when the engine heats up)
The engine doesn't seem to be running real hot, radiator doesn't leak and I don't have any water in the oil. Just need to add more water more often than I would expect?? But maybe this is just normal?

If you're running straight water, it will evaporate some, but I suspect the level that it's falling to is it's natural level, as there is just about a quart's difference between the top of the neck and where it will settle down to on its own.

You couldn't rule out a crack in the head or a bad head gasket that's letting some of your coolant get into the cylinder and burn off as steam, but you should be noticing the steam (as white smoke) if that's the case. If it's running right, I'd consider this the last thing to look at and only when everthing else has been eliminated.

I'd try draining and refilling with 50/50 antifreeze and water and see if it drops down to one level and stays there without overheating.

You may be perfectly all right.
