Manifold for 706

We have a 706 with the 260 something engine in it. Will a 560 exhaust manifold for a 263 engine work???

yes we are in need of a good used manifold for our 706. Intake and exhaust if possible. I dont know what will happen if I try to unbolt the two. I can only imagine it will break off. So if you have both, give me a price idea!

buy a new exhaust manifold and reuse your intake, cut the bolts off then heat them in the intake, most of the time they come out decent, then use new bolts and ANTISEIZE on them, good luck

I have had the best luck removing manifold bolts from old tractors(Ms & SMs) by running the engine until it's good & warm then removing the bolts. Maybe I have been lucky but haven't broken one yet.

Another thing, aren't the ports on a 706 manifold bigger than on a 560? I remember back in the early '70s I had to replace the exhaust manifold on my 656 and the local IH mechanic recomended using one for a 706 as it would give about a 5hp increase over the original.
