I am thinking of replacing my 14.9 X 24 lug industrial tires with 12.4 X 24 agricultural tires. The 14.9 tires are huge. I have 13 inch rims so will the 12.4 tires work? Thanks. NYT

12.4's will work they will be alittle streched on a 13" rim but will work. a 13.6 would be a better choice in my mind, alittle smaller and not so blown out on the rims you have.

Tom: Every farm tractor tire on the market has stamped on it, the ideal rim size to be used. If you want top performance that is size to use. If your satisfied with less than ideal performance, a size larger or smaller will serve you quite well. It will devalue your tractor.

If you really have 13" rims you'll find that 12.4" tires are too small (they may mount but they won't be anything you want to use). If 14.9 tires look overly large I doubt you have 13" rims - most likely 12" rims - especially on a 300 utility.
