The Farmall 504 WFE is derived from the Farmall C. In other words, it is a light weight unit. The same goes for the NFE.

Barry: If you do the modification, don't be surprised if front end of the M hits the dirt. That 504 WFE very little heavier than a Farmall SA.

Should it be an aftermarket Scwartz wide front with tyrods behind axle, yes that may be worth the effort. Much heavier front end, but bolt pattern still different from M.
