Today I was using my Super C to move machinery. The tractor was running fine. Suddenly the tractor quit. I thought it ran out of gas. I put in some gas but it will not start. What should I check? It started fine when I first started the tractor.

Check to make sure there is gas at the carb. some time there is dirt that gets in at the top of the sedement bowl. If there isnt much gas at the carb blow some air in the line there and it will clear the dirt out as the air goes back in the tank. It woks for me.

My A done the same thin at the 1st of spring I checked gas it was ok then I found the fibor buton in the centr of the maf cap was gone just wor out.

Take a spare plug (any with the correct wire tip on it) and see if has fire. Pull one wire off of a plug and put the spare in the wire. ground the wire and crank it. If no spark, see if there is voltage at the coil from the ignition button. If not the button or a wire is bad. If it has volts there, clean the points and set to .020" on a distributor cam lobe. If it has a mag, make sure the wire going to the mag is not grounded (removing it works) then see if there is spark. Mags do not get power from the electrical system. JimN
