I have a 41 farmall h and was wondering if there is any way to convert it over to live hydro. The liftall is weak and wanted to convert it to a three point. Any suggestions???

There are a couple way you can do that. Get the pump off if I remember right a Super H and install it between the distributor and the gov. Or you could buy a belt drive type pump and install it and plumb it in either way would give you live hyds

I have a belt drive pump from a front end loader off a golden jubilee. Where would i run the belt off of though? And would that steal too much power from the tractor?

You could run it off either the water pump drive blet area or the one for the charging system. You would of course have to rig a way to mount it some how but that should not be all that hard to do. As for how much power as long as you where not using it there would be almost no power loss but when you where working the hyds you would loss a little bit but I don't think you would loss a lot. I know I rigged up something like that on a crawler I have and it does not seem to loos much power

On a M there is a mud shield under the bolster that exposes a space under the radiator. Should be the same on a H. Glenster and I have talked about putting a pump in there that would be driven off the crankshaft with a lovejoy coupling. The hand crank drive would have to be removed to do this. I am going to attempt to mount a pump there this winter. Mayby Wardner would have some thoughts on this as well. Armand

To put a gear driven pump on it you will need a front cover and cam gear from a 1951&1/2 or newer H,SH,300,350. This (along with the pump) will make it a very nice live system. The stock cam drive gear is not up to the added load. (some have had luck with it but sense you are changing the cover to match the pump spacing, it is the time!)
There are several examples of extra pulleys being mounted to the front crank pulley to drive a hydraulic pump in the parts and Pieces gallery. There is plenty of power to do all appropriate loader work. JimN
