#8 Plow Question

The M is running again, so I'm finally working on the plow. (2-14 #8) It had an OLD set of 6x16 tires on it. It came with a new set of 6x16 implement tires. I've got the worse of the two tires off and the rim cleaned up, but the new tire looks too small for the rim. Does anybody know if the 6x16 implement tires will fit? Part # for the wheel is 16632W

If the tire you took off is a 6.00x16, and the new tire you are putting on is a 6.00x16, there shouldn't be any problem, unless the old tire is NOT a 6.00x16 and you read it wrong?

The old tires were definitely 6x16. I've heard tire sizing changed in the last 40 years or so, though; like a 10x28 tire from the 50's is the same size as a 11x28 today? I'm hoping they fit. The manual recommends a 7x16 tire.

The size did not change, just how it was designated. The old 10x28 is now designated 11.2x28. The old 11x28 is now a 12.4x28. On the front tires, a 600 x 16 is still a 600x16. The old 700 x 16 is still same as a new 700x16. Radials and low profile tires have a different profile from the old bias tires and would have a R or L after the size, but all the numbers you mention would be for regular bias tires.
