What year is a Farmall H with Ser. #FBH78953X6 the casting numbers are 7-17-K. I was told it is 1946 but what I figured it to be a 1941. Is that right? What does the X6 stand for? Thanks

Guy Fay's IH Tractor Data Book states the "K" casting code to be in 1941 and the "X6" is for low speed gears. The s/n range for 1941 H's is noted as between 52387 and 93236. Hope this is what you are looking for, Hal.

Hal is right, 1941 is the year.
