Lousy weather here in NY state today, so I decided to change the tranny fluid in my 2424.
My manual says capacity is 5 gallons, EXCEPT for tractors with front mounted hydraulic pump or draft control. 14 gals with front mounted pump, and 17 with front mounted pump and draft control.
The pump on my tractor is just ahead of the oil filter housing. I assumed front mounted pump meant a pump running off the shaft through the grille. But I got about 12 gallons out - that was a big surprise. So I guess this means that I have a front mounted pump?
I do have draft control - so looks like I need about 12 more gallons of fluid?
Thanks,
Tim
