I had the pleasure of stopping at Hugh MacKay's house in September of 2008. He showed me his tractors and implements. I thought you might enjoy seeing this good man.

Hugh is on the right.
I am on the left.

Here's another picture of Hugh and his wife Marge.

My stars and garters! Is that an Ollie cap on Hugh's head? In both pictures?!?!?! Oh, Hughie!

Makes no difference. That little 130 is rigged up for work, ain't it? Hugh knew his tractors and was happy sharing what he knew.

Thanks for the pics, Lowell

Scott - Thanks for posting that image!

I took that photo of Hugh and his lovely wife Marg several years ago when a road trip took them through my home town (Chili, NY). A truly wonderful couple.

Notice Hugh's Oliver ball cap in that one too!

I am shocked just like many others are on the passing of Hugh. I have been busy helping with chopping corn and soybeans and have not been on this site in about a wk and it is shocking to hear this. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family, reading his many posts will be missed. Wished I could have met the man when he was in NY. Bob from Dansville, NY

I almost didnt look at these photos because people never look how you imagine them.
But Im glad I did. Hugh looks like a "character". One of those nice, gentle characters that make life interesting for the rest us run of the mill humans.
And he fits his posts perfectly.

S'long Hugh. I used your advice twice today and will for a long time.

As much as we all already miss Hugh, I'll bet he wouldn't have wanted this much of a fuss being made over him.

Thanks to those who posted his obit. I always assumed he had been an IH technician at some point in his life, given all the how to knowledge he had. I'm even more impressed to know he apparently learned from the school of hard knocks, not from being a tecnician.

I kindof hope he just takes a little rest, then gets back to keeping the offsets in Heaven running perfectly !

OHH NO! Hugh drove a Ford!

At least he liked IH tractors.

Just kidding of course. I never met Hugh but loved his posts. He was always spot on.

Delbertt,
I couldn"t have said it any better. Its nice to now put a face to the man. I and others will be missing his advice for sure. Thanks LA for putting up the pic.
