Water Leaking from Manifold

I just filled the radiator in my C after a complete engine rebuild (new sleeves, pistons, valves, etc., etc.), just to find a drip of water from the second manifold bolt (from the front). I'm guessing cracked head. I could have sworn that I had that head magnifluxed and was given a thumbs up.

As soon as I saw the drip, I threw my hands in the air and went in. So I haven't taken off the manifold yet to inspect what's going on.

Has anybody experienced a leak in that location, and if so, what was the problem? What's the likelihood a head crack in that region can be fixed?

I had the same thing happen and I removed the bolt and put a screw driver in the hole to my surpise the thing went into the middle of the head. The machine shop must have removed the stud and ran a bolt in that hole with an impact wrench and broke the hole out anyway I used high temp silcone on threads and stop the leak.

Put some sealer on that stud as some go into the water jacket i runinto this problem from time to time so use a sealer on the studs.

Initially, I had water leaking from the upper hose, but I tightened that up and stopped it and wiped everything dry. The water is definitely coming from the area of one of the manifold bolts and it dripped slowly all night.

I agree with Gene.
Drain the system down to the bolt level, and remove the stud. Put #2 non hardening permatex on the threads and reassemble. No to worried. JimN
