Are these the same between an H and a W-4?

Hello all, I'm in need of the pot metal/aluminum piece that the throwout bearing carrier is supported on. I'm in the middle of a clutch job but the old one has both ears broken off. According to the online parts books the # for an H is 6690D. However I cannot find any listings for a W-4 (I know where there is a parts W-4). If anyone knows if they're the same piece it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Sam

Thanks for offer but I'm up in Canada and so with shipping and customs it would probably not be worth it for either of us. Thanks though, Sam

The two I've found broken (one H and one SMD) both appear to have been caused by excessively worn and overadjusted clutches placing the load right on the end of the sleeve. According to my local dealer the part is available new for the bargain basement price of $336.00! Sam

Im not sure what broke the one I have its cracked about in the middle between the sleeve and the mounting bolts. I will have to find one for next spring when I try and get it up and running.

tractor sam,
i dont think a person would have to split a w-4 to look at this part. on my w-6 i know there is a saddle under the gas tank that opens up to the clutch housing kind of the same way that dropping the hyd. pump allows you to work on an h or m. they made these old boogers to be easily repaired pc

Good to know, the small rowcrop tractors far outnumber anything else around here so don't spend much time working on the W's. Sam

The one on the SMD was broken right at the rear end of the tube. The H had both of the ears that have the bolt holes in them broken off. Good luck finding one. Sam
