What does this wheel weight fit?

I'd like to get at least another pair of these. There is no part number. Only a date code of 8 June 1954. These were installed on my W-400. Weight seems heavier than a row crop weight.

Measurements are:

5" center hole
10.625" bolt circle
16" outside diameter

Will a Farmall A weight bolt up? If so, did the later 100-140 use this weight as a replacement for the earlier weight. If the dimensions are the same, the difference would be that the W-400 weight is stackable.

I could buy or trade the following weights:

Farmall C, H, M, and later rear weights
660 rear weights
9 series rear weights
H, M front weights
Cub rear weights
Cub front weights
Maybe even SMTA-450 frame weights.

The only other place I've seen them was on the back of that W450D I looked at. I take it that W-6 wieghts aren't the same? Sam

They also fit the W-6s and 560Ws in addition to the W450 and W400 as you and tractorsam mentioned.

wardner, i have a w-6 parts book here, there are 2 weight options for the w-6. serial numbers 501-6162 the first weight pn 8076d is 126 pounds. the second and third weights, pn 8077d weight 137 lbs each. on the w-6 serial number 6163, the first weight 9114d weighs 145 lbs,, second and third weights are the same part number. i have my book on the super w-6 at home, i will see if i can get the part numbers for those weights.

Thanks for the picture. It would appear from the posts on this thread that this wheel weight only fits standard tread tractors and utilities. That's a good starting point.

Just curious about how you loaded that 560. Over the front?

I was in the same situation when I went to an auction 450 miles away. I bought a 650D but didn't bring my trailer. I went to U-Haul and they had a narrow four wheel trailer rated for 8000 lbs. I drove the tractor over the front while 50 people watched. The front tires just fit between the trailer fenders. The rear tires rode up on the 2" x 4" square tube trailer frame. I was surprised the auctioneer let me leave the site. He had to pick up the front of the trailer to set it on my pintal hook. The trip home was good.

It is a convertable traction assist. If you noticed, you can see two of the grousers folded up. It was bought at a Canadian auction northwest of Toronto.

I haven't gotten around to field testing it yet.

So, Sam,

When are you going to buy that tractor? I'll take the weights as well as the PTO. Can we at least see a picture of the PTO?

Actually in the case of that 560 I loaded it from the back. I just angled it so the right back wheel was centered on the edge of the fender and went up and over it. Than pulled it back forward and centered the tractor on the trailer width wise. If that had not worked I would'ev ended up loading it from the front, luckily though I did not have to. Trip home was a little longer with all the weight of it of course but it went pretty well.

I don't know. The guy who has it doesn't know if he wants to part with it, despite the fact that it's sat in the same place (outdoors) for at least a decade. If he doesn't decide to sell I'll go back and get some pics, but it'll be a couple of weeks. Sam

wardner, found the book for the super w-6 and sw6-ta, the rear weights for that is 9114d, same as the 145lbs weights for the w-6.

I saw the two that were folded up. I was thinking it was for additional traction but it looks like the "grousers" would dig into the tire when they are pressed. That is realy neat looking.

I think alot depends on tire pressure. I will be testing the wheel attachments on a hard surface to see how the cleats interface with the tire.

I removed three inches on the depth so that the cleats extend further over the tire. They now extend slightly past the center line (that would be the mold parting line on the tire). It may come to pass that these attachments are not suited for the 18.4 x 30 tires. I also drilled the new mounting plates for installation on my SMTAs or Farmall 400. Overall tire diameters for the 18.4 x 34 and 13.8 x 38 are very close.

I need to find a few more springs before I can move the tractor. I am also having problems with LP setup. Trying to work out those problems now. I may have to start a thread regarding the LP regulator and carbureter. I put a gasoline carb on and the engine runs great despite having been stuck.
