Cheap 1086?

I'm not really up on tractor prices, but isn't this some pretty cheap HP?

Very cheap. Makes you wonder what is really wrong with it. I saw an 856 Farmall open station diesel sell at auction last week for $4200, and thought that was pretty cheap.

It was $3400... had a cab w/recent interior, lights, flashers, gauges, everything worked, and paint looked good. My first thought was like my ol' dad used to say, "If it looks too good to be true, it probably is." Either it sold really fast, or something was fishy with the ad.
I have absolutely no use for a tractor of that size, but thought of contacting him because it's pretty close... might have been a good investment $$$. Or could have "hired out".... "Have tractor, Will disc".
 
I found an original owner 1086 that he is asking $7500. Is within 20 miles of me so I am gonna go take a looksee. Thats cheap if it is tight, which it appears to be. Also found a 2090 for $7000 which is 25 miles from me.
