Calling the tractor vet

My 1256 with tilt steering has developed a pretty serious leak at the top of the steering column. I assume that it is probably a seal at the top somewhere. What am I looking at to change this thing? Thanks.

Well it is the seal on the steering motor but it will take a little more tear down to get to it then one on a non tilting wheel . So just remove the tilt assy. and then your at the shaft and snap ring and you can use a pair of vice grips to give a quick turn of the shaft to pop the seal just don't slip and mess up the splines .
