super c kit in a B

HEY GUY,S JUST A QUICK QUESTION HAS ANYBODY EVER TRIED PUTTING A SUPER C ENGINE KIT IN A B BLOCK? TRYING TO BUILD A NICE LITTLE ALL AROUND TRACTOR LEANING MORE TO DEAD WEIGH PULL, AND STILL HAND START WITHOUT KILLING ME!

Hugh would have had this right on top of his head, but I'm gonna speculate that the SuperC kit isn't coing to work in a B block. I think the outside diameter of the SuperC sleeves is too large.

The SuperC from the factory had sleeves with a 3-1/8" bore to make it a 123. A lot of the kits now have the thinner-walled sleeves to make 3-1/4", making a 131 out of it.

On the flip side, the original sleeves in your B were a three inch bore (113), and 3-1/8" sleeve kits for it are available about anywhere, to make it into a 123. If your motor has been overhauled in the past, it may already have the 3-1/8" in it.

Both motors (the original 113 in A/Bs and the 123 in the SuperC) used the same cam, so there's not much to be gained except for using a larger-bored sleeve an your choice of piston to ride in it.

Some rear wheel weights and a 123 in a B makes a fine little tractor. I've got 3-1/8" Fire Craters in my BN. It does quite well as is, but will be better on dead weight if I ever get my wheel weights painted and onto it.

The sleeves are longer in a Super C engine and I don't think would fit your B's block. Just get a sleeve kit as Scotty suggested to fit your B. I did that on a Farmall A back in 1975. If you have enough power to cause wheel slippage more power won't help. I used the 3.125" overbore kit
in the A. Back then the cost was $80.00 from our local IH dealer. Hal

I don't know what you mean by "Super C Kit", but an overbore set of sleeves and pistons will fit very nicely in a B giving it 123 cubic inches, just like a Super C has. I've done it to my B.

Just make sure to get a set of sleeves that fit the bore of your block. There were two different outside diameters of sleeves used. Measure at the bottom of the sleeve, where the O-Ring seal goes.

THANKS FOR THE INSITE. WOULD LOOOOVE TO PUT THE 153 IN BUT TO MANY PEOPLE KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR. A FREIND HAS ONE IN A BN AND WE CALL IT B+,3500 OPEN IN 2ND GEAR YEE HAW!!!!. IN MY TRAVELS I PICKED UP A CRANK MAYBE I'LL LOOK INTO OFFSET GRINDING FOR A LITTLE MORE STROKE?

Which bore are you looking for. The 3 1/8 and hi=dome pistons work without any machine work. You can get the block bored to install the 3 1/4 hi-domes that will give you 135cu in. Now do you need more hp then get a 349 head.
