IH farmall 300, plowing snow?

i have an 800 ft driveway with a slight incline in one spot, will an IH 300 tractor with a snow blade be able to plow this, or will i spin the wheels going up incline??

It should alright if you use tire chains and some added weight. That's what I use on my garden tractor. When it gets too deep for the tractor I use the snowblower. Hal

You can always do what I do and lift the blade, drive up the hill, turn around and push the snow down the hill.

When the snow gets too deep for my garden tractor snowplow, I use my SM with a backblade. No chains, but loaded tires and 2 sets of weights. My driveway is about 300 ft and also has a substantial grade. I angle it and plow forward rather than backing up. It works good, but chains would be nice on the ice though. Hopefully next yr I'll have my A ready for winter with a plow and chains.

I plow with a 400. Two sets of weights and I only put the chains on it when it gets so icy that I can not drive it thru the yard to get it up to the house. A hill might be a problem, but not an incline.

I have been plowing an 1800 foot driveway with a serious hill on half of it for 43 years with a 140. The Cub we had before was inadequate. My tractor has chains and loaded tires but no extra weights. I'm good up to about 18". Twice in those 43 years I needed a bigger machine (1996 and 1978). Like the man said, plow downhill and drive uphill if you have to.
