MD fuel injection service places??

Hello all. I am about to start on my next rebuilding/restoration project, our 51 Farmall MD. I will have a few questions that I hope members will be willing to answer.

I need to get the pump and injectors rebuilt. Where is a good place that you folks would suggest to send these to be gone through? I have been thinking of Central Fuel Injection Service. Anybody have any comments on this place? The 2 places that are somewhat local here don't work on this old stuff. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I also have an MD project underway, and might need some injection services in the future. I have business cards from Central Fuel, and have heard they are good. I've just heard via the "grapevine".
Don't have any experience with them. You might try Bates Corp. They have injection pumps listed in their ads, but don't know if that includes MD pumps.

Not sure where your located but I had my SMD pump done at Superior Injection. They are in Ottawa Lake, MI. Great knowledgeable guys, reasonable price and quick turn around.

The guy at DIS (Diesel Injection Service) in Madison knows about them as well. I guess he has one and it pretty familiar. Sounds like Central isn't so bad either.
LET US KNOW WHAT THIER QUOTE IS! I would like to send my injectors in for sure.

Central Fuel quoted me a price of $900.00 for the pump exchanged and $82.00 a piece plus parts for the injectors. May have to hold off a bit on this.

Thanks for the reply. That $1000 is what I have heard on the pump. Did he say what the "plus parts" generally would run? Like what is average. I assume they always need some parts ie orings, copper washers and the like. What is the max you could have in an injector. Can I just do the two that I know have a problem? Can I take all four off and they test them and only rebuild the ones that fail?
Sorry for the barage, but just wondering if he gave any more clues.

Nope, that is all he said. What else I asked him was if I could get the same pump I set in instead of an exchange. He replied that they could do my pump for the exchange price.
