hydraulic pump on M

I have a 1948 M with live power driven by a pump attached to the distributor. With distributor removed, the piece that drives the distributor (has two drive cogs and fits on the keyed shaft) has become damaged. The piece was apparently moving and has created a slightly oblong hole and damaged keyway. Any suggestion on how to fix it? Do I need a new/used pump or a good machinist that can repair it?

Any suggestion would be welcome!

My first suggestion would be to post some photographs. This courtesy will insure that you get many more suggestions. Just ask MikeCA.

You should look into the use of an epoxy keyway repair material. Goto a bearing house for the good stuff. Belzona or Devcon are two products.

I have one of these pumps that i will never use, can be got real cheap if you are intrested. 863-604-3624 I live in Fla.
