F 12 exhaust studs

The studs that hold the exhaust pipe flange on my '37 F12 are so corroded that the nuts won't hold anymore. Are they threaded into the manifold or a press fit? I will heat them up and turn them out if threaded but will have to drill and tap if pressed. I sure don't want to break the manifold. Does anyone have any idea? Thanks.

I want to say they are taped, Why because I had to do the same thing to mine and yes you can tap them but go easy, and the studs I bought from NAPA Auto store.
JR.Frye GOOD LUCK

well if your not sure of what to do or familiar with drilling and tapping then the cheapest way out is just take it to a machine shop and have it done.that would be the best decision in the long run, as i can almost guarrantee those studs will break off when trying to remove them.the new studs will be installed properly in the cast.that is my suggestion with info. given like i dont know your capabilities.
