I have a Farmall H tractor and i haven't used it very often but i have noticed recently that I am getting alot of oil blowing out of the exhaust. After a short time of running oil splatter can be seen over the hood and the tractor is lacking power. Please help if ya have any suggestions.

your not getting it up to running temp, what it is doing is called 'wet stacking' or 'slobbering' by some. I would try and get that engine up to a good hot work out and see if that helps. IF you dont see the the temp gauge move either you have a bad gauge or a bad thermostat. If the thermostat is stuck open its pretty hard to get them up to temp with out it.

Time for an overhaul. A combination of engine kit, crank grinding and head work can be had for less than $1000, if you disassemble/assemble the engine yourself.

as andrew says:it needs a good workout pulling all it will and get it good and hot, even cover grill wont hurt but watch the temp.just for the little light jobs should be able to leave a cardboard with about an 8in. hole in the centre of rad.that will keep it running warmer.
