I am unable to find in my manual, it is a mess, what type of fluid goes in a super a touch control and how? Also, is it safe to "rinse" the system with diesel before putting new in.

any hydraulic oil that is compatible with IH Hytran oil. tractor supply sells it in 2 gallon containers for 15 bucks.

You need to obtain a copy of the Blue Ribbon Serviceman's handbook GSS-1024 as the filling process is quite involved. This can be obtained from binderbooks dot com unless your CaseIH dealer will run you the necessary pages. The touch control manual due to when it was published lists the approved fluid as Touch Control fluid which is no longer with the current correct fluid being Hy-Tran or one which meets the same specs. Doesn't list the total amount required as it would depend on various hydraulic features on your tractor, ie., remote valve, fast hitch, loader, etc. but full after going through the specified process is 1/2" below the fill plug on the left hand side of the TC unit. The serviceman's handbook noted is for Farmall Touch Control systems on the Cub, Super A, AV, Farmall C and Super C and the International Super A tractors. I'll let someone else advise on how to flush the system but I would think there are few acceptable fluids suitable for flushing other then just clean Hy-Tran and changed after a short run time. Hope this helps, Hal.

I believe the manual specifically states not to use kerosene. So diesal wouldn't be advised either. In my SC I cleaned the screen and filled with generic Hytran equivilent and ran till hot and then changed it again. It looks good now. It doesn't take much, not over 3-4 quarts in mine. In my Super H I changed and replaced 3 times, a couple hours operating time between changes, till the fluid looked clean.
