Can anyone tell me if Serial Number 135589 is for a 1952 Model Super C and are the headlights suppose to be bullet type or flat on back. The ones on the tractor I have are flat and have been told they should be the bullet type.

It is a 1952 and should be bullet or teardrop style I just restored a 1952 and I deciced to go with sealed beam flatback it is just personal preference unless you are worried about being "CORRECT".

The change to the flat back lights was somewhere around s/n 156XXX as I recall from my Super C parts catalog. The ones before were the tear drop or bullet style per the catalog. My part catalog is down with my tractor where we are restoring it about 100 miles away so it's not handy. My Super C s/n 180XXX is a late August 1953 tractor and it has the flat back style as the originals are still on the tractor. Hope this helps, Hal.
 
Thanks to all for your help. It is greatly appreciated. I have one more question. Was the orginal breather cap just the cap or was the cap with the jar? The breather pipe on mine has the short pipe. Thanks
 
I believe the bonnet type was stock with the jar type pre-cleaner being an option. If I had my parts catalog here instead of where I'm working on it I could probably answer it for sure. Someone else will probably come along with a "for sure" answer, Hal.

Plain cap was standard but the jar style donaldson was an option available
