can you guys out there tell me the difference between a 560 wheatland and a 660 -- i see them for sale and am confused--

3" taller radiator.
3" cast iron spacer under grill
6 vs 5 bladed fan and different fan shroud.
Badging and ID plate
Injection pump turned up to 2400 vs 1800
80 vs 60 hp
Planetary hubs with different wheels and rims
Bigger rear tires: 18.4 x 34 on 660
Different ratios for LPTO and differential gear set

Don't think there is anything else. Engines are identical.

Can't think of anything else.

Understand the confusion when both use the same gas and diesel engines and both produced between 58-63. The same engines in the 660 run 600 rpm higher than the 560 engines and produced 92 hp vs 72. Other big differences were the tire size, 18.4-34's for the 660 and 16.9-30's for the 560 and the tractor weights. The 660 weighs about 50% more than the 560, i.e. 9663 lbs bare vs 6563 for the 560. Overall, the 660 was a much bigger tractor.

ok well i stand a little more educated than i was earlier-- i remember my dads bos had a 660 deisel in front of a fox corn chopper(2 row) and we coudnt put it up in a 50ft. silo fast enough-- we cought up with him once when the bos stuck the snoot in the tire making a right hand corner(oops)put the 560 on the blower and all it did was plug--put the dc case on and never stoped all day- just some thoughts from the past-

I have a 660d, and it scream's with rpm's, but it does not tach out @540rpm at full throtle, the tractors had 2 tire opts, 18.4 & 23.1,with heavy duty package for the bigger, the wheel piece is a huge piece of cast iorn, with my tractor(FOR SALE)it ways 13000# and is a beast
