Farmall A Seat and choke rod

I have a 1939 Farmall A and I need a seat for it. The seat that was on it when I bought it is not an "A" seat. I really don't want to spend $160.00 for a new seat. If anyone has one that can be restored, let me know.

I also need a choke rod. It's the one that goes from the steering post to the carb. It's a Zenith carb.

Any help will be appreciated.

Choke rod doesent go to the steering post just goes the the rear of the gas tank. I have one if you need it. Lots of luck on finding a used seat pan as they are hard to find. Do you have the original springs and the two brackets they and the seat mount on.

ake that one step more. Wasn't the choke rod only installed on tractors with electric starters, which wasn't available on a '39 A?

You know, I wondered about that. I know there was one there and
it got lost when the tractor moved from So Carolina to Florida.
There is a manually operated choke on the Zenith carb and my
tractor is a crank start. No electrics. And the clips are there for the
rod and I seem to remember taking it off.

Who knows?

OK on the choke rod. I know it ends up in that vicinity.

I'll be happy to take it off your hands.

Send me an email with your email address and I'll send my address to you. Any charge?

Thanks for the tip. I called, but they only have new seats. But they are cheaper than others. I may end up buying one there.

I'm still looking.
