H idleing.

Hey guys, Ive pretty much got the Idle on my tractor to where i want it but have one problem. When I rev the engine, It all of the sudden Jumps up pretty high and then settles back down to the position i put it at. What am i missing here?

It sounds like a sticky throttle shaft, or sticky governor internal parts. Clean the interior of the governor housing and relube with engine oil. the throttle shaft could get gummed up. spray carb clean, and PB Blaster would loosen it. It is hard to get to the rear side of the throttle shaft with it on the engine. Jim
