International 80 Snowblower

Minimum hp would dictate how much you ride the clutch and how far the snow gets thrown for the most part. I use a Ford 8600 (about 100 PTOhp) and I have seen a IH parts book that shows a 2+2 hitched to it. Based on the size of the blower, I am going to guess that a minimum of 75-80 PTOhp.

Thanks much for the info, I ran it all last winter with a Massey 165 45 h.p. when deep did it struggled much, looking at a 70 h.p. diesel , that should be much better than the 45 h.p. gas
Thanks

IH did not state in the brochure or the owners manual what a minimum HP was for the 70 or the 80 snow blower. I run a 70 snow blower with a 584 with no problems.
