CharLynn power steering?

This is probably right near the top of the list of stupid questions, but just incase way back in 1956 they called for something else, what oil should I use in my CharLynn power steering unit on a Farmall 300?

Thank you, Devin

I don't think it will make much difference what fluid you use. I'd use Hy-Tran or whatever you have in your hydraulic system. Since you are asking this question, I am assuming you have a separate PS pump and not a flow divider off your hydraulic pump.

devin, i sent you an e mail, shoot me one back and i can forward you copys of the original manuals i have scanned on my computer. glenn

Back in the days, automatic trans type A was always recommended in those units. I would use hy tran, or hy guard or what ever I have handy. Note(type A automatic fluid was also what oil companies sold to be used in the tractor transmission with TA's also).
