Yep, Ideally they shouldnt contact each other a whole lot and I like to use looms or seperators and holders etc so they are kept away from each other, the block or metallic components. Their insulation should have plenty sufficient voltage withstand ratings that they can touch metal or each other, but keeping them away from each other or metal is to AVOID TEMPTATION LOL. In addition to a voltage breakdown arc theres that whole thing of mutual inductance and capacitance (crosss talk) which is just yet another good reason to avoid them being in close contact and/or looping or long close paralell runs together regardless if its minimal, its just how I prefer to route them.

Cannot see it being a problem. All the 12 series tractors (F-12,O-12,W-12 etc) have all plug wires running parallel to each other in a tube across the back of the engine. Doesn't seem to worry them at all. Mine are also clipped together as they pass along under the manifold as shown in the early owners manuals. The black plastic feet for small stools with the bottoms cut off were ideal candidates for the clips.t thread the wires through them

On Farmall Cubs, the spark plug wires all pass through a single ring on top of the engine before splitting out to go to the individual cylinders. The four wires barely fit, and are touching.

A quarter-million Cubs over 32 years of production with that exact same plug wire routing can't be wrong.

I've personally put plug wires on several Farmalls and just let them fall where they may. Never a problem in my experience.

Happened with my old 57 chevy. Also learned not to hold the wire when testing for spark. They probably make better insulated wires now a days. Might make a difference if they are old or new wire.

You haven't responded back so maybe you aren't interested but the best way to check is to watch it at a dead dark new moon night at various speeds. You will see if any wires are arcing to each others. The coil puts out enough to spark across in a cracked distributor cap. Does yours have a miss?
