Farmall 766 steering

I am haveing proble,s with the power steering on a 766. I have fitted new seals to the orbitrol & adjusted the shim pack as per workshop manual, but I can"t correct the original problem of the steering turning to the right & wont come back left.
If ant thing it is worse now than when I first removed it.
Any suggestios would be appreciated.

Have you checked the flow and pressures at each steering line at the front axle. Just a bucket to catch fluid will suffice. Check both at same time for flow and individually for pressure. If not the same problem is still in steering hand pump orbital valve and motor. If they are the same problem is in cyl or front axle assembly. I had a weird one once upon a time, steered one direction fair, other way was very hard,spindle was rusted almost solid in knee.

sound like a steering hand pump problem. Have a bucket and crack each line to see it pumps fluid while no engine it running. To see it the hand pump on the wheel is working properly.
