Folks, i sure could use some help reading the wiring diagram. Let me explain a bit - i have macular degeneration and can read screes with large font b ut not the small print..

A couple of years ago the generator was replaced with a 3 wire delco alternator and the oil and alt lights worked properly. Later on i painted it removing the voltage regulator and wirimg when i painted it. Since then neither light works.

Can someone tell me what wures go to the idiot lights. Under the dash there is a pink, red and black wires going to them. What do i run to these wires?.

Any assistance appreciated as i need to sell the tractor.

I will try. The voltage regulator is in the alternator, so if you removed "a" voltage regulator, I will assume it is not the voltage regulator.
The alt light should have one terminal connected to the ignition switch terminal that goes to the coil.
The other Alt light connection goes to the #1 terminal on the edge of the alt.
The oil pressure light hooks to the oil pressure switch on the block, and to the same ignition terminal as the alt light. The #2 terminal on the Alt hooks to the big output stud on the Alt. Jim

janicholson, thanks for the reply. After re-reading my original request for hekp i realize how vague it was.

The 424 runs very well - it's those idiot lights that don't work that are not working. What would help fix them is the connections that go to the red.pink and black wires on the light "module".

My answer was vague as well. I do not know which wire is which on the light module. I do know that the alt light must be placed in series with the #1 terminal and key power.
I do know that the oil pressure switch on the block is open with pressure (shutting off the light) Sorry I cannot assist with color code. Jim
