Farmall H plowing pics

I am 16yrs old and have been restoring this little genius 2-14 plow since spring break when i purchased it. finished it july 3rd. thanks to all who have responded to my posts in the past. took it with my 1939 Farmall H in the fourth of july parade and plowed with it for the first time today here are some pictures and a link to the youtube video of the parade.

Nice pics. Guess you aged a year since you picked your handle, eh? Looks like you're doing a good job on your equipment. You are lucky to have access to a shop like that and all the rest that I see in those pics!
 
thanks. i have a 200 manure spreader that needs fixed up. it'll probably be next on the list atless i finish the paint on my tractor
 
A trip rope plow.....I remember spending many a day sitting in front of one of those. We pulled our Little Genius with an A John Deere and would put a piece of baling wire on the end of the trip rope and run it thru a couple of holes in the seat.

The fun began when you hit a rock near the end of the field. You had the rope in your hand, the end tied to the seat, and the plow would unlatch from the clevis. Of course, you couldn't stop in time so the rope would jerk the seat down, the wire would pull out of the seat, and since you had a hold of the rope, the wire would cut your hand after the rope got thru burning it.

Fun times and thanks for the memories.....

As I remember, the hitch on these plows were black...good work and keep the photos coming.......
 
Great job restoring your plow!! looks great!! I have one like it that I plan to put with my H. A Enjoyed your video, also pricless voice saying thats my boy.If my 16 year old did what you did with that plow and H, I would shout thats my boy too. Keep up the good work! I think I will shout thats our RED POWER BOY. Tony
