When I turn the key on my 300 to start position i get nothing, amp gauge works, lights work but starter will do nothing. If i jump the silenoid on the starter she fires right up.

What should I be looking for? Bad Ground?

Tractor is converted to 12v negative ground.

When the switch is turned to the start position check to be sure power is getting to the small wire terminal at the selonoid. If so its probably a bad selonoid. If not check the terminal at the switch that energizes the selonoid. If no power there its a bad switch. If power there its a problem with the wire from ignition switch to the selonoid. Or try a jumper wire from the battery cable side of the seloniod to the small terminal. (Don't know if thats how you're jumping it or across the 2 big terminals) If it turns the problem is the ignition switch or wireing. Not uncommon for those key switches to go bad.
