"A" rear wheel problem.

I finally got my "A" running, and I took it down the road and back for a victory lap. My father in law followed behind me and noticed that the rear left wheel seemed to have some "wobble" or play in it. I couldn't tell from my position on the seat. We checked lug nuts, all seemed to be tight and mounted correctly. I should also point out that I have a leak somewhere in the final drive area of this wheel. I don't know if this has anything to do with it or not. What could the problem be, and how would I fix it?

potentially sounds like a worn hub bearing, which would also destroy the seal and cause your leak. Quickest way to check is to jack up only that side of the tractor, and see if there is any play or wobble in the wheel and rim when wiggled from side to side.

other possibility is a bent rim, and just a worn out seal.

in any case, you need to determine what is wrong before we can say how to fix it.

as always, IMHO.
