IH cub question

Hi, I just did some trading and ended up with a nice old 48 cub. Can you guys tell me if a standard straight distributor from say an A or B will fit in it? It has a magneto now and I just had to put a coil in it to get it to run but I was just wondering about the distributor thing. It looks to me like it would fit but I"ll leave it to all of the experts.

It will fit but it won't have the correct advance curve. The engine won't run right.

Just bought a new mag from Manley Magneto's and am very pleased. The old mag had failed and was by passed with a coil. I put everything back like it is supposed to be and she sure starts and runs great. Looks correct also.

What sets the advance curve, the weights in the dist.? are they adjustable?
