Found a late model MD. It has been setting for at least 30 years outside. Looks all pretty much complete. Can tell by other machinery that this old farmer did not have very much mechanical ability. So could be something little or something big wrong with it. What will I have when I get it fixed up, anything of value.

Who knows?could anything.Yes a good MD is wonth something...The are real easy on fuel.I would be interestedif it were close to home. Please dont junk it,there are'nt enough of them left to waste a single one.

There worth anywhere from 2000-3500 when all done. If your looking at fixing it then reselling it, you will end up most likely going backwards. However if your looking at fixing and up and keeping it then your all set. Just be forewarned that you can drop 4000+ into them pretty easy. Dont ask how i know...

I only have like $1500 in mine. I guess that is the beauty of not doing any motor work...yet :D

My boy went and helped a friend yesterday move a bunch of furniture for his mom. The lady wanted to pay but my boy mentioned that she could keep her money and asked if she would be willing to get rid of the 2 Farmalls out back. She agreed and said he had to take all 3(3rd is an old WC in bad shape)of them junk ol tractors though! He said ok! So we spent most of the day loading the H with a loader and the MD. The temperatures were well above 100 degrees and we had our fair share of problems getting them loaded(Generator wouldn't power air comp., stuck in gear, flat tires, wheels all the way out on the axles, no front wheels, tree removal, stuck brakes, ect ect....) But we got them home!

Looks like you got a heck of a deal! Now the fun begins! Keep us posted on your progress!

One of the small dairymen here has a neglected SMTAD sitting in his fence row. Haven't had the chance to go inquiring. Doubt I'll get the kindof deal you did, but it does inspire me to go ask about it.

I don't think that is the kind of thing I would sit on my hands about! If I ever wanted to go to...ugg...California I think I would drive around just looking for the SMDTA!
