ih340 utility

hello. im working on a ih340 utility that has been sitting for like ten years. im trying to change the points and condensor but cant get the distribor dust cover off. is there some kind of trick to this or maybe its just seized on from sitting so long? please help! thanks

I'd try tapping the edge of a knife into the seam ?

Yes, it should just lift off.

Not unusual for them to stick. Try letting a little (only a little) penetrating oil soak in. Twisting it may help.
