Folk's I just ran across the opportunity to buy a 1952 Farmall Super C w/ complete set of cultivators. Tractor is in all original condition (6 volt, original lighting etc.). Has a few minor oil leaks. Engine is in great condition cranks and runs smoothly with no smoke etc. a well maintained tractor with the exception all the paint has faded away and its now IH rust patina..... I've not dealt too much with the C line and not familiar with what the current values are for this type tractor. He is asking $2500.00 firm. Any opinions?

You did not mention the condition of the rear tires, but if the tires are good, at least 50% tread, and very little to no weather checking, then the asking price is not all that far out of line.

(quoted from post at 09:30:00 08/26/10) Thanks for reminding me Rusty. The rear tires are brand new, the front are 80% but weather checked.

The fact that the paint is pretty much gone is actually a plus. That way you can do it the way YOU want to, and not have the difficult task of undoing someone elses amateurish attempts at body work. Considering the rear rubber is brand new, I think I would jump on that Super C.
