While installing new seals i found there is alot of play in the axel on the right.The bearing seemed to be ok,seemed more internal.By the way it still has a leak.That side actually seemed the best as far as smoothness .The other side was pitted alittle and it doesnt leak.Go figure.
 
have you checked inside brg. as that one usually goes first. even grinds the btm. of diff. housing.
 
Nope i havent checked that,why does it always seem like there is light at the end of the tunnel then something else goes wrong.
 
Usually about even either inner or outer ball bearing, inner more difficult, can be done thru pto housing hole in back, use sockets or wrist pin for spacer to push axle out of bull gear splines with retainer bolt in center, cock gear over and wiggle out old bearing, push with long bar thru housing outer end. We had to change a lot of them with mounted corn picker in the field, mud snow & all, same on M thru 450/560, just bigger.
