A fine job, you sure can be proud of that one! I"d love to have it, but alas, I"m older than dirt and can no longer climb aboard! I"m mounted a good many Farmalls down through the generations. They were a fine tractor! I"ll never forget the first MD I drove.

Great job. It's always a good feeling to see the before and after side by side and know you were responsible for the transformation. What's next??

She is a real cutey. I like the angle of the photo as it gives the subject a 'second dimension' even thought it is a photograph. I girl is sporting front wheel weights now also. I think fellow readers/viewers might like to know what all you did. I like the step to help oldsters and youngsters alike to mount the Farmall; as seen in the before as well as after. Ya gots' a patent on that curly step? Very well done! Now, as was commented earlier this week and I like how the poster put it: is she going to be a beauty queen? gonna be kept under a blanket where no one is going to see her or are ya gonna work the old Farmall A? Go out and enjoy your tractor!

Wow nice job on the A. Do you plan on using it?I have a couple of 140s i did and i did a super A once but it didnt look as good as yours. Thanks for sharing the pictures.Erik..

Beautiful job on the resto, but I believe you have a Super A, it has hydraulics, that is the main distinction between plain A and Super A. Sorry to put a scratch on your bubble, still a great job.

I don't know what it is, I don't see the pump, and there are no lines from the pump to the reservoir, which also looks different.

The reservoir looks to me like standard Touch-Control from C or Super A, with standard lift arms (single arm on right). It appears that a regular manifold has been cut off above the bell housing and hoses from that point make a left turn over the engine. I don't know what sort of hydraulic pump is on the other end of the hoses, maybe one that is driven by the generator belt.

Thank You! It is indeed a regular Farmall A with a Super A torque tube and hydrolic unit. The hydrolic pump runs off the generator belt and is hidden in the upper right hand corner under the hood. This tractor is almost exactly as it was when I bought it except that I switched the C touch control and ignition switch box with a Super A unit which allows me to put the battery in the correct spot and also looks better. I also added the front wheel weights. She turned 19.9 HP on the prony break. It will not be used for mowing much because I mow with an exmark and I also have a brush hog for my 340 utility. It will be a show tractor and was at the Clarksville gas and steam show in Clarksville MI just last month. Thanks!
