#8 Plow Share Question

Here's a pic of an old share that I found for my 2-14 Little Genius. Is this worth trying to repair, or should I just scrap it?

Somrthing I saw a few years ago was someone fixed their old shears by replaceing the cutting edge with a newer throw away type shear, he just cut the old shear back to a straight line and then welded in the new edge.

It has been about 10 years but I was fixing up a little genius plow to pull behind my age. I took the shares off and took to a local welding shop to see if they could even do anything with the share and to see how much it would cost. I don"t remember where he oredered them from but he cut the point off and welded on a new one and that bottom edge he cut off and welded on a premade piece at that time it only cost me $10. The plow has worked great since.
