price of grain wagon

I am wondering what would be a good price for me to pay for a 5 by 9 grain wagon i think that is the size, what ever the standard size is for a grain wagon it has good wood and fair paint always been shedded. bad tires, good 24 inch sides. I guess the wagon is from the 60s. thanks for any comments

Are you talking about a gravity wagon? That could be all over the board. Picture would have been great. I just took in a Parker box in very good shape on a good Gehl gear. Four decent implement tires. Think that would be about the same era as yours. Gave him a $250 credit on account. Would not have given him that in cash. Beats not getting paid at all.

I like Nebraska Cowman's answer. If it is a flat bed wagon with wooden floor, and good wood. If it is a gravity dump steel wagon it might be 100 more if it is just minor rust.
Either way repacking the wheel bearings before pulling it home is a very good idea. Test the tongue to be sure the steering is not loose (side to side Should be less than 2 inches free play.) Jim
