What decals are correct for a 1948 Super A? Is it "cultivision" decals or just Super A? When is the breakoff ser.# for these decals?
 
You need the Cultivision Super A decals, the ones with SUPER coming across the A in a ribbon. Also your hood decals for a '48 will be McCormick-Deering Farmall with the white/red/black IH emblem.

"Officially" they changed to the newer Super A decal, with the white background, around 1951. It is my opinion that they continued to use the Cultivision Super A decals until they ran out. McCormick-Deering changed to McCormick Farmall in 1949. Again, they appear to have used McCormick-Deering decals until they ran out.
