With help from many on this forum the Bucket O Bolts is now a working tractor. Is the fast hitch the same size on a 460 as the prong size?? Anyone think a 460D would handle a 6' rototiller?? If i buy a set of 3/16's mounted plows should i go fast hitch or try another brand/modern 3 pt hitch?? Thanks Again.Bud in central Mi.

Dad used to have a 460D and pulled 3/16"s in heavy ground, and it was a fasthitch mount. I would think that it could run a 6 foot rototiller. I do alot of things with smaller tractors when in reality, I should use a larger tractor but if you take your time, that will allow you to do it with smaller equipment.

You need a MUCH slower tractor than a 460 to run a rototiller, if you plan on doing anything more than fluffing up plowed ground.

A hydro or a tractor with a dedicated creeper gear is the way to go if your breaking up fresh ground. The tractor has to move at a crawling speed with the engine running at PTO RPMs.

The tractor won't hold the tiller back if you pull the TA, so you'll just go walking across the field with the tiller pushing the tractor. Even 1st TA will be over 1MPH anyway, way too fast.

I agree with gene on the plow, though... Go with a fast hitch plow.
