was looking at a book with specs. for diesel motors and seen diesel s had big crank journals was wondering if could be offset ground to gas specs and make a six in. crank out of it without welding has any body tried it ?

Think if made to small M gas rod journal in the .030 size you may make it to 6. Crank would have to be used in a diesel engine, 5 main journals compared to a gas 3. Rod work or special rods would be needed to work with the IH diesel pistons.
